About Us

We are an independent Home, Gift & Clothing Store located in Downtown Bracebridge, ON. We love being part of the Muskoka community and have had our brick & mortar store here for seven years. Our passion is to curate unique items from across Canada and around the world. We were first inspired by the gorgeous textiles discovered while living in India, which we now carry in store. The store's name "Kala" [ 'Kah-lah'] is a Sanskrit word meaning artisan or artistic creation. 

We believe that you can have beautiful things, that also have functionality and serve a purpose. We pay great attention to sourcing products that are sustainably made, ethically sourced, and with environmentally sound packaging (or no packaging!). We were recently included in HGTV Canada's List of Top 10 Eco-Friendly Shops in Ontario.
